Two Children Killed in Tragic Jersey Shore Boating Crash, Police Confirm

The New Jersey community is mourning a heartbreaking tragedy after two young children lost their lives in a devastating boating accident on the Intracoastal Waterway near Berkeley Township. The boat’s operator and a passenger immediately entered recovery efforts and were able to bring both children back aboard before emergency responders arrived.

Authorities identified the operator as 63-year-old Stephen Schneider and the passenger as 64-year-old Laurie Schneider, both of Bayville. Neither adult was reported to have sustained injuries during the incident.
